Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh (Khmer: , pronounce in Khmer and is the capital and largest city of Cambodia. Located along the Mekong, Phnom Penh is the capital since the French colonized Cambodia, and has become the center of the nation's economic and industrial activities and the center of security, politics, economics, cultural heritage and diplomacy Cambodia.

Once known as the "Pearl of Asia", was considered one of the most beautiful cities in Indochina French-built in 1920. Phnom Penh with Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, are significant lobal and domestic tourist destination for Cambodia. Founded in 1434, the city is known for its magnificent architecture and historical attractions. There are a number of survivors French colonial buildings scattered along the boulevards.

Located on the banks of the Tonle Sap, the Mekong River and the Bassac, Phnom Penh, the metropolitan area is home to over 2 million of Cambodia's population of more than 14 million people. The city is rich and populous city in Cambodia and is home to the country's political center.
