Preserving Brunei's traditional Anyaman

ONE of traditional crafts are Brunei visibility of products sold at TAMU (Open Market) and some of the traditional craft shops. These include baskets woven from bamboo young flexible.

Menganyam requires skill, concentration and patience. It has been said that weaving was started by the housewives of Brunei Darussalam generations ago.

In those days women took as a hobby while away, while waiting for her husband to return to their fishing or farming.

Over time, the efforts of these housewives' become more valuable, than the craft they asked. It 'became an income earner for some of them.

Brunei River

The Brunei River is a river that flows through Brunei and empties into the Brunei Bay in the northeast. Istana Nurul Iman on the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei is located on its shores.
